Allison DeBona, Principal of the Ballet West Academy Peggy Bergmann Park City Campus, is excited to continue the COLLEGE MONTH master class series in the 2023/20224 Season! These classes are offered exclusively for currently enrolled students in the Student Division levels 4-8. Included is a 1.5 hr master class followed by a 1 hr question and answer opportunity.

Allison DeBona's vision for the Park City Campus includes bringing a well rounded approach to mentoring its students.  The COLLEGE MONTH master class series is designed to offer our students and their families an opportunity to take class and field questions to current college dance directors and professors. Allison spent 15 years as a professional dancer at Ballet West, and retired a First Soloist in 2022. Prior to her hiring at Ballet West at the age of 24, she graduated from Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music with a Bachelor of Science degree in Ballet, in 2006.

After taking the position of Principal of the Ballet West Academy Peggy Bergmann Park City Campus, she learned very quickly the importance of higher education to the dancers and families of the Park City campus and its community at large. Her choice to design COLLEGE MONTH comes from her experience in dance both at the collegiate and professional levels. Her hope is to equip her students with the knowledge and power to make an educated decision about their future in dance after high school, whether it is to attend college or enter straight into the professional realm. Furthermore, for students moving to Utah to join the Academy, Utah grants individuals residency after living in the State for six months. Utah Valley University, Westminster College, and University of Utah are all Utah establishments.
