Can new students keep their current uniform? . . .

New students are able to keep wearing their current uniform until May 2023. Is Barlow Arts Conservatory faculty staying on? . . .

We are reviewing schedules and working with Barlow Arts faculty as we'd like to maintain teachers from both locations.

Will Jenny Barlow be involved with Ballet West Academy?. . .

After 29 years of teaching, and 16 years of directing Barlow Arts, Jenny Barlow is retiring from teaching. However, she will continue her competition coaching and see her students through the season.

Will Heather Thackeray still be the Campus Principal of Ballet West Academy's Utah County location?. . .

Yes, Heather Thackeray will continue to be the Campus Principal of the new location.

When will I know who my student's teacher is? . . .

Before classes begin in the New Year, we will inform all students of who will be teaching their classes. For more information on faculty you can see their photo and biography on our website under "Faculty & Staff" https://www.academy.balletwest.org/tp-faculty-staff

What is the tuition for Ballet West Academy? . . .

Do I have to register at the New Location? . . .

You can register as a student as any of campus locations. We have four campuses to choose from, Ballet Centre Campus and Trolley Corners Campus in Salt Lake City, Park City Campus in Park City, and our new Utah County Campus in Pleasant Grove.

How do I register with Ballet West Academy? . . .

Step 1: Navigate to our website - https://www.academy.balletwest.org/, Step 2: Click on “Parent Portal” in the menu bar, Step 3: Make sure you are under the Utah County location by clicking on the blue circle with 3 white lines in the top left hand corner and switching to “Ballet West Academy – Utah County”, Step 4: Hit “Click to Begin”, Step 5: Create an account, Step 6: Click on “Registration” in the menu bar, Step 7: Click “Find a Class” and find your level. We are happy to help, give us a call at 801-869-6990.

What if the new class time does not work for my family? What are my options? . . .

Some of our classes have two sections that meet on different days & times. If a particular section works better for your family, please contact us and let us know. We are happy to work with individual circumstances to find a place for every student.

What if I paid for the year in full for Barlow Arts Conservatory? . . .

Please contact Ballet West Academy at utahcounty@balletwest.org to let us know prior to registering. We will coordinate with Barlow Arts and no further action is required on your part.

What is the sibling discount? . . .

We offer a 5% discount for families with more than one student. This discount will be applied for families with two or more dancers living in the same household. The first student (the student that attends the most hours of dance/higher tuition rate) will follow the posted tuition rates, the second student (the student who attends fewer or the same amount of hours) will receive a 5% discount off their tuition rate.

What levels perform in the optional contemporary showcase? . . .

All levels in our Student Division, Ballet West Academy Levels 1-8, will perform in the contemporary showcase. There is an additional $60 fee to participate.

Are we keeping the same summer schedule and if not, what summer programs will Ballet West be offering? . . .

Ballet West Academy is offering an Accelerated Ballet Workshop from June 5 - June 26 for Elementary A through Level 8. More details found here - https://www.academy.balletwest.org/summer-camps-location. As a Ballet West Academy student, you will have priority access to placement in the Ballet West Summer Programs. Our summer intensives include Salt Lake City’s 3-week intensive, 5-week intensive, and Choreographic Workshop, St. George’s 2-week intensive in coordination with artEmotion, and Park City’s 2-week Young Dancer Summer Intensive.
