Tap
-
Tap is an integral part of an expanded dance curriculum. Tap is beneficial in many ways, including increasing cardiovascular fitness, strength, flexibility and coordination. Tap builds strength in the legs and feet as well as increasing flexibility in the hips, knees and ankles. Tap also enhances cognitive abilities. To become proficient, dancers must develop muscle memory and mental acuity. Tap develops a great sense of rhythm and timing. Best of all… tap is just plain fun!
